This collection is a reprint of a freight equipment diagram book which was issued by the Central of Georgia Railway on May 5, 1954. It includes line drawings and mechanical data for all of the freight equipment on the railroad as of that date. Such diagram books were issued to railroad employees who needed the information for various operational reasons.
The diagrams in this book illustrate an era in Central of Georgia freight car history when many cars were being rebuilt and converted to different uses.
