Fall Meeting Scheduled for November 16, 2024, in Forsyth, Ga.

The fall membership meeting of the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society, Inc., has been scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024, in
the Forsyth, Ga., area. Our meeting will include visits to several area railroad depots and sites, and our annual business meeting, including elections for Board of Directors. All activities will be during the day on Saturday!

On Saturday morning, we’ll gather at 9:30 a.m. at the former CofGa depot in Forsyth (located at 126 East Johnston Street, Forsyth, GA 31029).

We’ll travel by van to visit several railroad sites in the area, including Barnesville and Thomaston areas.

Our annual business meeting, including elections for Board of Directors, will be held in a meeting room at the depot. Our activities should be completed by around 4:00 p.m.

Registration is $20 per person (to cover the cost of the van).

“The Right Way” Vol. 28, No. 2 Mailed to Members

The April–June 2024 issue of The Right Way, the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society’s official publication, was mailed to members on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Membership expiration is based on the last issue that a member is to receive. A one year membership in the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society always includes four issues of The Right Way (regardless of the publication date). This ensures that each member receives the full benefit of their membership.

2025 Calendar Now Available

The Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society is pleased to announce the publication of our new 2025 Central of Georgia calendar. The 13-month calendar features black & white photographs of passenger and freight trains (including steam and diesel) at various cities on the CofGa. Important dates in the history of the Central of Georgia and subsidiary lines are also included.

Most of the images used in the 2025 calendar are from the Society’s collection. The calendar is available from our online store here and at all of the train shows we attend.
