We’ve learned that some copies of the last issue of The Right Way (April–June 2022, Vol. 26, No. 2) have blank pages on the inside front and rear covers (pages 2 and 15). Those pages should, obviously, have printing on them.
If your copy has those blank pages, please let us know at allen@cofga.org and we’ll mail a replacement copy.
We don’t know how many issues were mailed with that defect, but hopefully, we have enough extra copies for everyone who needs one.
The April–June 2022 issue of The Right Way, the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society’s official publication, was mailed to members on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Membership expiration is based on the last issue that a member is to receive. A one year membership in the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society always includes four issues of The Right Way (regardless of the publication date). This ensures that each member receives the full benefit of their membership.
The fall membership meeting of the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society, Inc., has been scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Albany, Ga. Our meeting will include a presentation on the railroads of Albany, tours of various railroad sites, and our annual business meeting, including elections for Board of Directors. All activities will be during the day on Saturday!
On Saturday morning, we’ll gather at 9:30 a.m. in a meeting room at First United Methodist Church in Albany (specific directions below). We will have our annual business meeting, including elections for Board of Directors. (See reverse side for election information). This will be followed by a presentation by CGRHS member Frank Crowe on the railroads in Albany.
We’ll then travel by car (carpooling is encouraged) to the Albany Station which houses the Thronateeska History Museum. We’ll also see the railroad equipment on display.
After lunch, we’ll carpool for a tour of various CofGa (and other) railroad sites in Albany and the surrounding areas. Tentative plans are to visit existing CofGa stations and depots in Albany, Leesburg (recently restored), and Smithville (located inside the wye where the Montgomery District connected to the Albany District). We’ll also view several other important railroad locations in the Albany area. We should be finished by around 3:00 p.m.
Note that since we are not having any evening events, we have not reserved a block of motel rooms. There are numerous motels in the Albany area for those needing to stay overnight.
There is no cost to attend. However, members should register in advance by sending an e-mail to allen@cofga.org.

Though the church is located on Flint Avenue, we will park in the parking lot on the north side of the church property, at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Jackson Street (a one-way-south street). There is a fenced playground area between church buildings on the south side of the alley, which is open to the parking lot. The gate on the west end of the playground is where we will enter, and the door into the building on the immediate right (west) is entrance to the hallway where the meeting room is located. It’s called the Sapp Classroom, and is down the stairs on the right. (We’ll try to mark this entrance so it’s easily visible from the parking lot.)
